happy new year

Ok lets see, it has been like ages ago since I have posted something decent here
what happened, well lets see..
after we've moved to our new rental, we have done some floor work to get the stinky carpet out and new laminat in..
that has been a huge improvement and we can actually live here normally.. they even had carpet in the kitchen YUK, YUK ,YUK

I am asked if I wanted to have a job,, yes sure all money is welcome..
so now I am babysitting a little 1 year old boy partime.
usually twice a week.

besides that I go to a ladies group in Church called the coffeebreak.. here we usually discuss somethings from the bible.. what is kinda funny, because my ideas are way off compared to theirs, but I usually get away with it with some humor..whoohoo

and it is winter, since half November it is all white outside and we love it.. playing like a bunch of kids in the snow..having sleighride competitions and the dogs run like crazy trying to save us.
We now have 2 crazy cats.that can be a real pain, but so sweet when they are asleep

we bought some presents for mom and dad, and send them over..trust me sending over boxes to europe is Fukcing expencive and we won't do that again..it was worth it for this time because it is the first time Christmas and new years eve without them..and mom's birthday on boxingday or for holland 2nd christmas day..
yeah it is right.. they have 2..

Gerard had to work Christmas day and I was invited to friends parrents and experience a realy traditional dinner etc.. which was lovely.
new years eve we made some dutch food.. called oliebollen en appelflappen.. some kinda fried donuts things only different..
that was nice and brought up so many memories that for the first time since we've been here I felt home sick.
not being together with the whole family for the first time in my life..
in the evening we were all by our own..and actually I was kinda hppy about that..no one around just the 2 of us.
We were the only once with fireworks in the area..to bad I love fireworks..

now all is back to normal and we're looking forward to seeing mom and dad in March..
